About the event
Come and celebrate the birth of Ganesha!, created by Goddess Parvati and being the son of God Shiva. His distinctive elephant head is an iconic feature that houses a deep sacred symbolism.
Who is Ganesha?
Ganesha is revered in Vedanta philosophy because of his role as "Vighneshwara" or "the remover of obstacles." Practitioners of this philosophy seek to overcome the barriers that hinder spiritual realization and supreme knowledge, and Ganesha is invoked to assist in this process.
Next Sunday, September 24, we will gather to explore the story of Ganesha's birth and the deep symbolism that this deity represents. We will also honor and revere the essence of Ganesha, seeking his protection, wisdom and knowledge for our inner work. Through dance, we will express our love and channel the energy that this deity gives us, representing this archetype so revered in India and around the world.
