About the event
Welcome to an enriching experience where we will explore the fascinating mythology and psycho-spiritual symbology of the powerful goddess Durga. This one-hour online event will take you on a deep journey through the richness of Hindu culture as we honor and learn more about this divine deity.
Event Details:
- Date and Time: Thursday 19th, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Spanish time)
Event Description:
Navratri is a Hindu festival celebrated over nine nights and is considered a time of deep worship and reflection. In psycho-spiritual aspects, Navratri symbolizes the individual’s inner struggle against negative forces and the quest for spiritual enlightenment. Each of the nine nights is associated with a different form of the goddess Durga, who represents various aspects of divinity and human consciousness. During this period, devotees seek to purify their minds and hearts, overcome obstacles, and advance their spiritual path through devotion, meditation, and spiritual practice. Through Bharatanatyam dance, we explore a means to connect with the universal knowledge that manifests through myths and archetypes. Bharatanatyam dance becomes an expression of the deep knowledge inherent in this sacred tradition, allowing us to enter a space of worship and devotion.
Event Agenda:
- Introduction to Durga: We will begin with an informative presentation on Durga, exploring her history and deep significance in Hindu mythology.
- Psycho-Spiritual Aspects: We will discover how aspects of Durga can relate to our daily lives and how we can incorporate her wisdom into our own spiritual growth.
- Bharatanatyam Choreography: We will invite you to immerse yourself in the richness of Bharatanatyam dance, a traditional Indian artistic form of expression. We will learn a choreography dedicated to the goddess Durga, connecting with her energy through dance.
